Man's Rights: Ayn Rand's Historic Contribution (MP3 download)

By John Ridpath

The concept of man's rights, discovered by John Locke, had a great and beneficial impact on human life. The understanding of this concept, however, began to decay in the 18th century, was supplanted by collectivist notions in the 19th century, and was totally perverted in the 20th century. This lecture outlines Locke's discovery, chronicles its demise and, in this context presents Ayn Rand's historic accomplishment in providing man's rights with the full defense they have never had.

This lecture was recorded at the 2005 Objectivist Summer Conference in San Diego, CA.
