Excellent course
I recommend this course and found it very helpful in understanding the history of philosophy. I first listened to Thales to Hume, both are fantastic and very well presented.

Awesome material
Very often histories of philosophy are unintelligible to the newcomer. I've always felt that you'd have to know all about it to understand the presentation at all.
Well, Dr. Peikoff's course is not only very beginner friendly and intelligible - it is fun, too.
If you ever wanted to know what Kant said, this is the place to start. It will give you an excellent overview and a raging headache, because modern philosophy is too absurd to believe it.
