Internationally, Constitutionalism seems triumphant, with more nations embracing constitutional government than ever before. At the same time, proper legal values often seem less secure. This talk explores the meaning and value of legal constitutionalism and its condition today. By identifying the major political forces and underlying intellectual beliefs that work against proper constitutional rule, the talk will explore why its protections are in serious decline—and the peril to all of us.
This talk was recorded at the Objectivist Summer Conference 2015 in Charlotte, NC.
