What does it take to change people’s minds about fundamentals? The time-honored method of philosophical argumentation is not to be dismissed. But more often than not, the most effective method of persuasion is to offer one’s audience an inspiring example of a new way of living and thinking. This talk explores the implications of this view for how to conduct oneself as a philosophical activist and in everyday dealings with people.
